RECIPE MADE WITH LOVE BY

"I grew up in rural east Texas and Louisiana before being transplanted to the beautiful state of Kentucky at the age of 17....so for the most part, my 'hard drive' is programmed for rich, southern style food. Recipes for things like mashed potatoes, cream gravy, pot roast, chicken fried steak and chili are burned in to my DNA!! ?I will never deny my love for rich, southern foods and I'm not a fan of stripping away all the fat and flavor in order to lighten up my favorite southern staples, however (fortunately) my culinary horizons expand beyond my roots and I love finding new foods and new ways of cooking that are just as delicious and in many cases much healthier. ?I do receive an incredible amount of joy from feeding others....a trait I definately attribute to my southern roots."

Why are mine so grainy? Followed the directions to the letter. Oh and the pecans fall off.

These are soooo good! Very easy to make and stored very well. I used the cinnamon graham crackers because that was what I had on hand. Think I will always use them because they added a nice little hint of cinnamon. I definitely will make these again.

LOVED IT! I've made this twice now, once as written and once with chocolate chips on top. Both ways are delicious. I sprinkled a little course salt on top of the one without chocolate chips. Took these (without the chocolate) on vacation in an air-tight container and their texture and flavor stayed true for three weeks. (I only let myself eat one a day - very hard to do!)

My mom made this to give out to friends and family as well as business clients. Everyone loved them! Two individuals from different companies asked for the recipe! It's easy, quick, and goes over very well indeed.
