Pear-Y Good Jello Salad

"A nice light dish that can serve as either salad or a dessert. Low in calories, and easy. One of my favorites! You can of course substite jello favors and type of you don't like the sugar free stuff. And the choice of fruit is open as well!"

  • Place the jello in a meduim mixing bowl (I just use a cleaned out cool whip container), add one cup boiling water. Stir till dissolved, at least 2 minutes.
  • Add ice water, stirring well.
  • Place in refridgerator till semi-jelled.
  • Add pears and cottage cheese, stirring to combine.
  • Chill until firm.

  1. We make this with cream cheese (4 oz.) and use sprite instead of half the water for the Jello (like instead of the one cup ice water). SOOOOoooo good! We also add about a cup of "chopped" pecans. We also omit step 3 and throw it all in there at once!
