Pear Craisin Bread

"This is a moist flavorful bread, great when fresh pears are in season but not bad with canned pears either. Even though it appears to have alot of sugar it isn't too sweet. The dough is very thick before you add the pears and craisins."

  1. Very moist and flavorful. I subbed Splenda for the white sugar, but kept the brown sugar. I might cut down the amount of brown sugar next time, also. Since I only made 1 loaf, and couldn't find a half an egg :) I used 1/8 cup yogurt for the half egg. I used fresh pears. I am going to try this again with dried cherries instead of Craisins. Also might add some cardamom, since cardamom and pears are meant for each other! Thanks for a keeper.
