Peaches 'n' Cream Bars

- 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
- 1 (8 ounce) package softened cream cheese
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 (21 ounce) can peach pie filling
- 1⁄2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1⁄4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons cold butter
- 1⁄2 cup sliced almonds
directions
- Unroll crescent dough into one long rectangle, and press onto the bottom and slightly up the sidesof a greased 13x9 inch baking pan.
- Seal perforations.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes, and cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and extractuntil smooth, and spoon over crust.
- Spoon pie filling over cream cheese layer.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, and brown sugar. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in almonds, and sprinkle over peach filling.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 25-28 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Cool 1 hour, on a wire rack, and store in refrigerator.

I am, they are, & I did ~ A peach pie fan, that is, making this easy recipe & loving everything about it! However, although I followed your recipe, another time I might just see how it would come out if I added another cup or so of peaches, drained & patted dry!
