2 Pints
ingredients
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 1⁄2 teaspoons ground mustard
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 lb peach, blanched, skinned, cooked and sliced
- 1 1⁄4 cups ketchup
- 1⁄4 cup molasses
- 1⁄4 cup peach juice
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
directions
- Place the peaches in a food mill or food processor until they are a baby food consistency.
- Combine all the ingredients in a medium size sauce pot. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to medium-high and reduce for five minutes until all the sugar has dissolved. Simmer until desired thickness is reached, but watch closely. The peach sediment can burn very easily! Serve immediately or cover and store in fridge. Also, these are safe to can, so see your water bath canner's instructions on how to can safely.
