Papa's BBQ Baked Beans

"From my father-in-law's kitchen to yours. These beans are very hearty and a little sweet. This recipe feeds a large crowd, but the pan is usually empty by the end!"

• Serves: 12-15

ingredients

• 1 gallon bush's baked beans
• 1 large onion
• 1 large bell pepper
• 1⁄4 cup garlic powder
• 1 (24 ounce) bottle jack daniel's barbecue sauce (or your favorite)
• 1 lb ground beef
• 1 lb sausage

directions

1. Brown meats and drain.
2. Dice and saute the onion and pepper.
3. Combine the meats and vegetables in a large roasting pan (the size you'd serve Thanksgiving turkey in).
4. Add the bottle of BBQ sauce and garlic.
5. Combine all.
6. Cook at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
