"I found this on the cooks.com website and just wanted to post it here so I didn't lose it. This recipe sounds so easy and is different from the other one that is posted on Zaar."

• Ingredients: 9
• Yields: 1 9 x 13 inch pan
• Serves: 24

ingredients

• For the cake mixture

• 18 ounces yellow cake mix
• 1⁄2 cup butter, melted
• 1 egg

• For on top of the cake mixture

• 8 ounces cream cheese
• 2 eggs
• 1 lb powdered sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup flaked coconut
• 1 cup nuts, chopped

directions

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Mix cake mix, butter and egg and press into a 9 x 13 inch pan.
3. Mix together the remaining ingredients and pour over cake mixture in pan.
4. Bake for 45 minutes.

I was going to post this recipe but found it here. It's in 'Capitol Cookies' cookbook and it's the cookie recipe for Texas. The only difference is the top of the cake part does not call for nuts. I love the idea of using nuts! I can't wait to try this recipe, thanks so much for posting it! :)
