We had a cookie bake and my sister was assigned this cookie. The dough was so thick and I thought it might be because she used 2 sticks not 4 sticks of butter. That helped some, but I am afraid it’s still to thick even before the chips. Mmmmm. Debating on not adding all the blended oatmeal. I’ve added 3 cups already and it is still moist before chips. Thoughts?

This is one of my favorite cookie recipes, and they never last long when you share them. I like to use mini m&m's instead of chocolate chips, and I sometimes add a little peanut butter (1/4 to 1/2 cup) to make them even more yummy! Even though its a pain to blend the oatmeal and grate the hershey's bars, it's worth it! My little brother is always begging me to make these and I tell him I will if he grates the chocolate. Try these cookies - you won't be disappointed!!

I always sift my flour with the salt, baking powder and soda 3 times when making any cookies. So I also added my blended oatmeal in the sifter too. I also refrigerated my dough before making them. These are by far the best cookies I've ever made. I didn't use any nuts, as my family doesn't care for them.
