This is the best chili I have ever had! I made it today for a family gathering and everyone loved it. I too omitted the water and added another can of tomato sauce. I had a little more than 2 lbs. of ground beef (more like 2 1/2 lbs). It came out great and was very easy to make. I will definitely make this again.

All I can say is WOW! We are chili lovers in my family and all I can say is this is the best chili we've ever had. It lasted us three days but we ate every bit. I followed a reviewers advice and substituted the water with another can of tomato sauce because we like thicker chili as well. I wouldn't change anything else about it. Highly recommend chili lovers trying this recipe. Thanks!

Very good chili! I made a few changes, though. Instead of the water, I added another can of tomato sauce, because I like my chili thicker. I also probably used a bit more than 2lbs of beef. I only used 1 teaspoon of salt, and that was plenty. I really enjoyed this, and I am going to try freezing some. Thanks.
