ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup natural bran
- 2 tablespoons wheat germ
- 3⁄4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 egg
- 1⁄3 cup vegetable oil
- 3⁄4 cup milk
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon clove
directions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, bran, wheat germ, sugar, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and cloves.
- In another bowl, beat egg, oil, milk and vanilla.
- Add liquid to dry ingredients, stirring only to moisten.
- Add raisins.
- Spoon into greased or paper-lined muffin tins.
- Bake at 375F for 20 minutes.
