DIRECTIONS

  • Mix 1 1/2 cup of flour, honey (or sugar), salt, dry yeast, very warm water, shortening and beaten egg; beat until smooth.
  • Add the remaining flour and beat until smooth.
  • Cover and let rise (about 30 minutes).
  • Stir the batter slowly then pour into 9 x 5 baking tin and let rise about 20 minutes.
  • Bake it in the oven for 20 - 25 minutes.
