Mincemeat Bran Bars

ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon natural bran
- 1⁄2 cup rolled oats
- 3⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 3⁄4 cup butter, room temperature
- 1 1⁄2 cups mincemeat
- finely grated peel of one orange
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 1 (10 ounce) can mandarin orange segments
directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F Grease a 9-inch square pan.
- Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in oats, bran and sugar, Work in butter with a fork until crumbly. press into pan.
- Stir in mincemeat with peel and cinnamon. Spread over base.
- Drain mandarin oranges, gently press into mincemeat.
- Bake 40 minutes. Cool and refrigerate.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
