  • Cut lotus root into thin slices.
  • Saute in frying pan with olive oil for a few minutes. Be careful not to sauté too long, as lotus root tastes best when still a little crunchy.
  • Mix in sugar and soy sauce and continue to cook until well incorporated.
  • Remove from heat and add sesame oil.
