  • Prepare crust according to package directions. Set aside.
  • Cook Italian sausage in skillet until browned, drain off fat, set aside.
  • Wash and de-stem portabellas, slice into thin slices, pat dry.
  • Drain and slice sweet red peppers, pat to dry.
  • In small bowl, combine tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, parsley, garlic, basil and salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Spread crust with sauce.
  • Arrange sausage and mushrooms all over pizza.
  • Add onion and sweet red peppers.
  • Place swiss and mozzarella cheese equally around pizza.
  • Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake at 325 F until crust is golden brown and the cheeses are melted about 12-14 minutes.
  • Serve with additional parmesan and crushed red pepper flake, if desired.

  1. I made this on a 6" prepared pizza crust for a single serving pizza. The sauce was very good and easy to make. The directions were clear and easy to read. I baked my little pizza using the time and temp. given on the package of pizza crust. It turned out great!
