Maurice's Guaro Sour

"Maurice, the bartender at Tortuguero Lodge in Tortuguero, Costa Rica, tought me how to make this awesome drink! It is very sweet and sour with a kick of Guaro (a white rum from Costa Rica)"

• Ingredients: 5
• Yields: 8 oz
• Serves: 1

ingredients

• 2 ounces white rum
• 5 teaspoons sugar
• 1 lime
• 1 tablespoon strawberry syrup
• 4 ounces carbonated lemon-lime beverage

directions

1. Cut up lime. Place in Shaker.
2. Add 5 teaspoons sugar.
3. Use muddler and smash limes until it makes a syrup consistency with the sugar.
4. Add White Rum and ice.
5. Shake in shaker.
6. Pour Strawberry Syrup in to glass.
7. Add Lemon Lime Soda to glass.
8. Pour shaker into glass.
9. Stir. Drink. Enjoy!
