10-12 pralines
ingredients
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1⁄2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 1⁄2 cups broken pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
directions
- Combine maple syrup, confectioner's sugar, milk and butter in sauepan.
- Cook, stirring occasionally; until a small amount of the mixture dropped in cold water forms a soft ball (236*) Remove from heat and add nuts and vanilla. Beat by hand until creamy.
- Drop by tablespoons onto wax paper. Makes 10-12 large pralines.
