  1. Even my picky children like this one.For them,I eased back on the fresh ginger. If anyone knows how to make the glaze thicker without compromizing the taste I would like to hear from you. This was very easy, quick, and a real treat!

  2. Ann, I'm so glad you enjoyed the salmon! I'm sure you could increase the cornstarch to 1 or even 2 teaspoons without any problem.

  3. Absolutely delicious! I used 3 fillets of salmon but kept the glaze ingredients the same, although I used 1 tsp of the cornflour to make it slightly thicker. The other thing I did was to give the fillets a good covering of freshly ground black pepper. This is a definite keeper, thanks for sharing.

  4. Fast, easy and delicious. I used real maple syrup and double the recipe which wasn't necessary as there was plenty of sauce. I have made this several times on the bbq and baked it in the oven last night. Timing was perfect. The first time I made this I accidentally added the onions to the marinade. It tasted OK but I think the onions added at the end taste better.

  5. This recipe is perfect just as it is!

Tweaks

  1. I had to substitute flour for cornstarch :( but it still came out great. My guests all loved it and had seconds and thirds! I also didn't use ginger, which I'm sure would have made it much better.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
