9x12 pan berry variation: Cover bottom of pan with a single layer of berries. I use frozen triple berry organic blend from Costco. (No need to defrost). Then take the same ingredients above but increase by half: for example, 3/4 cup of sugar instead of 1/2. Also, I use coconut oil. YUM!

This recipe is wonderful! Using my apple peeler/slicer, it took literally 5 minutes to get together. Simple ingredients, no mixer needed. I used 5 Gala apples, and sprinkled a little bit of cinnamon sugar on top of the "batter" - my husband enjoyed the extra little "crunch" it gave. Will be making this again!

Easy and tasty. I mixed the apples into the batter (i used 3 apples instead of 5) and it came out very nicely. I would recommend using an oven to table baking dish to serve this as it doesn't cut out in a perfect square. (Not complaining for only one egg...)

This was a delicious apple cake/kugel and was especially enjoyed by DH who has an enormous sweet tooth and this was exactly how he likes it. I also doubled the topping which worked out nicely.
