- 1⁄2 cup and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 cup brown sugar (not packed)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄3 cup melted chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup flour
- 12 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Mix the vegetable oil and brown sugar until well blended.
- Mix in the eggs and vanilla.
- Add the dry ingredients and mix.
- Add the melted chocolate chips and mix until everything is combined.
- Leave semi sweet chocolate and heavy cream for ganache.
- Pour batter into a 9 by 7 inch pan.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes in the middle rack of the oven.
- While the brownies are in the oven scald the heavy cream in a pot over the stove.
- Once the heavy cream is scalding pour over the chocolate in a heat proof bowl.
- Mix the cream and chocolate until they are in a liquid consistency and put in the refrigerator.
- Once the brownies are cooled spread the ganache over the brownies and enjoy!
