  • Wash the beans, and drain.
  • Place them in a large bowl, and cover them with water.
  • Allow them to soak overnight, In the morning, place half the beans in a crockery bean pot.
  • Bury the pork in the beans.
  • Combine the rest of the ingredients and add to the pot.
  • Cover with the remaining beans and the other half of the salt pork.
  • Bake at 300 for 6 - 7 hours stirring occassionally.
