This is a great recipe if you don't have a lot of time. The first time I made it, it was a little too thin...so I cut back the buttermilk to 1/2 C the next time and it was fine. I often make this as a dip using sour cream or even cream cheese instead of mayo - keep the 1/2 C buttermilk for that extra tang. BTW...Hellman's west of the Rockies is labeled Best Foods.

I love this recipe. I've made it twice as written and although I find it a bit thin, I also feel this is why it goes well on anything from romaine to arugula, spinach and mixed greens. I use Hellmann's mayo and don't find it to taste like mayo. I always double the recipe. Tastes great when made but better if it sits for a few hours.

Hmm... My pet peeve is people standing over my shoulder, especially when I'm cooking. Aargh!
Ooh, and when my husband comes over to help, but doesn't read the recipe so he just improvises. Oy! But I still love him with all my heart!
