Healthy Chocolate Brownies

"This may sound gross (its made with prune baby food) but believe me, you'll be surprised at how good they are. I like these better then normal brownies and these are healthy and the prune really keeps them moist and chewy. Best brownies ever!"

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine cocoa, flour and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
  • Using a wooden spoon or electric mixer on low speed, blend together brown sugar, prunes, butter, egg whites and vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture and blend after each addition.
  • Spray an 8x8 inch baking pan with non stick spray and pour batter into pan then spread evenly. Bake for 20-22 minutes until edges are dry to the touch but middle appears fudge like. Do not over bake or product will be dry.
  • Remove from oven and let cool in pan before slicing.
  • For maximum moistness, store squares in an airtight container.
