Be sure to drain the tomatoes before adding. I forgot and my sauce was too thin and bland. I drained the liquid, added another batch of sauce and let it simmer 6 more minutes. It came out nicely. I had to add a little salt but it tasted delicious. I love that it’s so much more healthy than the canned stuff.Reply

Picky children approved! The last time I tried to make sloppy joes with ground turkey and Manwich sauce, the kids didn't like it. So last night I decided to try this recipe since I already had all the ingredients, and use the new "fire roasted" diced tomatoes. It was a little sweet for me- but I used sweet red peppers??? It was a fast easy meal that I will definitely make again.Reply
