- Butter each slice of bread, one side only.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on a heated griddle or frying pan.
- Layer the curry and a slice of cheese (optional) on the bread slice.
- Lay the second piece of bread on the top, buttered side up.
- Fry the sandwich, flipping over the sandwich with a spatula, until both sides of the bread are brown and the curry is hot.
- Nice served with soup.
