ingredients
- 1 lb mixed dried fruit (I like a mixture of prunes, apricots, peaches, apples and pears)
- 1⁄4 cup candied ginger, chopped
- 1 cup marsala
- 1⁄4 cup lemon juice
- 1⁄2 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup water
directions
- Place the dried fruit, ginger, Marsala, lemon juice, maple syrup and water in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer gently for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the fruit is tender.
- Serve warm or cold.

<p>I live with my husband, four cats, and a sweet mutt named Jada in Scarborough, Ontario, where I work as an elementary school administrative assistant. I have a 31 year old daughter who lives with her boyfriend in nearby Don Mills, along with my sweet granddogs, Frankie and Turbo.
