Decadent Tomato Bisque
Quick, creamy, tasty, and reheats well. Great with a grilled cheese sandwich!
- Ready In:
- 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon dried basil (or more, to taste)
- Place stewed tomatoes in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and then turn down to simmer.
- Stir in cream.
- Stir in basil.

Another 5 stars. So very simple and so delicious. As recommended add teaspoon of brown sugar and pinch of red pepper flakes. Did add one tablespoon of butter also. Used immersion blender to make smoother. May play around and next time use one can Rotel and one can plain diced tomatoes. Bell peppers etc. Change herbs. Seems like many options to this simple recipe. Thanks for posting.Reply
