Crock Pot Smothered Beef Patties - Starting from Frozen Patties

"These are really easy to make and very tasty. I make these a lot when I forget to thaw out my meat. They take about 5 minutes to prepare and go!"

Ready In:
5hrs 5mins

  • Place 1 patty in crock pot or 2 patties side by side if they fit -- depending on your crock pot.
  • Put 1 tsp of Worcester sauce on the patty, sprinkle onion, salt and pepper and a little tomatoes w/ chillies.
  • Put another patty on top and repeat step two.
  • Layer over and over finishing with the tomatoes. (It will look like a tower of beef patties!).
  • Cook on high for 4-5 hours.
  • I usually serve with ketchup.

Suprisingly good for a very easy recipe! I used jarred salsa in place of the Royal tomatoes. Served with noodles.

Had for supper a couple of nights ago. Does smell really great while cooking. I used just regular diced tomatoes, and steak sauce instead of worchestershire, cause that was what we had on hand. We served on hamburger buns and topped with cheese, ketchup, mayo, and lettuce. Had sweet potato fries on the side. We really enjoyed. We would normally cook burgers from frozen anyway, but it was nice to have them in the crock pot and ready for various mealtimes (I had to eat earlier, and my husband later). Also the hour or so before mealtimes is often stressful with young children, so not having to be so involved in preparation (instead getting it done during naptime) is nice.

OMG these bugers are tender and juicy. I made them today but did not have the chilies so I ventured out on a limb and diced up some pepperoncini's and used them but ghey worked just fine! Thanks for the recipe

This is a great easy recipe, even with frozen ground turkey, which is what I used instead of the beef. It has been cooking all day and the smell wafting from the kitchen are just too unbearable to withstand. I just had to go take a pre-taste before dinner. Totally awesome! I served in a a pita. Thanks for posting! This recipe was made for the "Potluck Tag (January) - Bring a Friend Event!!!

This is a picture of my sweet hubby and me. We've been married for over two years and I love cook. My husband is a very fit guy who works really hard, but loves to eat. All of our friends are wondering how long his fitness will last eating all the sweets I cook! :) I love this website and use it quite a bit. I am a Christian, and I work at a home for troubled kids. I teach music. All of the recipes that I have posted are my absolute favorites. I will never post a recipe that I have not made myself. <img src="" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src=""> <img src=""> <img src="" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="">
