Cocoa Powder Brownies

YIELD: 12 squares




  • preheat oven to 350.
  • Line a 9 x 13 baking pan with parchment paper, and spray with cooking spray.
  • Melt the butter and sugar in a saucepan over low heat. Let it cool slightly then transfer to a mixing bowl.
  • Add the vanilla and then gradually add the eggs while mixing thoroughly.
  • Sift the dry ingredients together then add to the butter and egg mixture stirring in gently only until all ingredients are wet.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan, and bake for about 35 minutes.
  • Don't over bake!
  • Let cool in the pan then turn out, and remove the parchment paper.
  • Cut into 12 pieces.
