- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda (optional)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 3 cups nutella
directions
- Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
- Spread some Nutella in a circular path just the size of the pancake on a butter sheet or a container butter is spread. Put it in the freezer and let it freeze.
- Now coming back to the mixture, make a hollow in the centre and add the milk.
- Add the milk slowly and mix the flour.
- Add the two eggs, oil and vanilla if using.
- Whisk until mixed but leave it a bit lumpy.
- Heat a frying pan and add oil or butter if not nonstick.
- When the pan turns hot, put in some pancake mix.
- The size of the pancake depends on your flipping skills. If you can flip pancakes easily you can pour in some good quantity. If you are a beginner, let the mix be poured in little quantities.
- Now comes the chocolaty part!
- When the upper side starts to bubble, place the freezed Nutella on top of the pancake and cover it with some more batter and flip the pancake.
- Continue cooking until both sides turn brown.
- The first pancake can be a bit of a test. So adjust the milk accordingly after your first pancake.
- Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
- Your tasty chocolate pancake is ready to eat!
