Chili Macaroni

"A easy and delicious dish. I make it often. A friend of mine, with 4 boys, makes it once a week. I hope you like it! I have also made it from all shelf stable ingredients, except the cheese. Just use dehydrated onions and canned beef."

  1. Made this for PAC Fall 09. It was very good. It reminded me of my Cincinatti Chili...Very filling on a cool rainy windy fall day.

  2. Delicious! Made as directed... except I used about 3 cloves of fresh chopped garlic instead of powder, added a little extra chili powder & cumin cuz I had over 1 pound of meat. I omitted using the oil & just sprayed the pan with nonstick spray. I also didn't add the whole 8 oz of ronis cuz I didn't want it to absorb all the sauce for any leftovers. Topped with taco blend chedder mix & served with corn muffins & a green salad. Thank you for a simple, delicious meal to go to on a weeknight!

  3. This was wonderful! Breezy recommended it to me and she picked a winner!! I made it with 1 pound of ground turkey and 1/2 of the water and it turned out perfect. It doesn't get much easier than this. Thanks so much for posting!

  4. YUM! We loved this! With such simple ingredients and always on hand, this is such a winner for us! The only thing I did different was use a half pound of ground beef as a personal choice and cut back on the water to 1/2 cup. Skipped on the Tablespoon of oil too. I used a sharp cheddar so only used a 1/2 cup for that as well. This is such an easy meal to preapre and the flavor leaves you wanting to go back for seconds! Thank you for sharing this recipe that has definitely gone into the meal rotation here! :)
