Cedar Planked Salmon With Citrus BBQ Sauce

"As salmon is so readily available (and most of the time I can get it fresh), this is a nice way to treat this lovely fish. The BBQ sauce makes alot, so either cut the recipe in half... use on ribs or chicken...or freeze it!!"

directions

  • Combine the red onion, garlic, green onion, BBQ sauce, marmalade, dill, orange juice and black pepper. This can be prepared ahead of time and set aside.
  • Presoak a cedar plank by putting it in the sink with a heavy object sitting on top of it for 1/2 a day.
  • Preheat the grill. Remove the plank from the water.
  • Sit the plank on the grill until it smokes a bit, then carefully place the salmon on the plank. Cook the salmon until done -- usually until when the milky white juices release, about 20 - 30minutes.
  • Discard the plank after using.
