Caramel Banana Pie...only 6 ingredients! From the Lone Star Legacy Cookbook.

- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 9-inch graham cracker crust
- 3 bananas
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1⁄4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 small Heath candy bars, crushed
directions
- Pour condensed milk into an 8 inch glass pie plate.
- Cover with foil and set into a shallow casserole filled with 1/4 inch water.
- Bake at 425 for 1 hour and 15 minutes (or until milk is thick and caramel colored).
- Remove foil and set aside.
- Slice bananas and set it bottom of graham cracker crust.
- Spread carmelized milk over banana layer.
- Cool for 30 minutes.
- Combine whipping cream and powdered sugar.
- Whip until stiff (or, you can cheat like me and use something like Cool Whip).
- Spread over caramel layer.
- Sprinkle with crushed candy.

OMG this pie is outstanding! It's my new favorite. I can't wait to take it to my mom's for a cookout. I was a little nervous about making the caramel but it turned out great. I,like you,cheated and used Cool Whip but that's OK. Oh, I used a Nella Wafer pie crust which really complimented it. It was perfect. Thanks so much!!!
