Great sandwich!! I used 6 slices of thick-sliced bacon per each sandwich. (The bacon I used was, Patrick Cudahy Sweet Apple-Wood Bacon.) Instead of white bread, I used 100% whole wheat, plus used Hellmann's Mayonnaise on my bread, while I used Burman's Salad Dressing (from Aldi's), on my husband's bread. Needless to say, I prefered the taste of the salad dressing with the bacon, over the mayo. Also enjoyed the combination of the salad dressing/ketchup, added to the sandwich. This made one heck of a hearty sandwich!! The sandwich tasted great with the creamy kohlrabi-vegetable soup we had for lunch. Shuzbud, thank you for posting this recipe. This really is one delicious tasting sandwich!!!
