Brenda's Mom's Granola

"I got this recipe from a coworker. Her mom has been making this granola for years. It has become a staple in our house, I make a batch every two weeks. I typically eat it for breakfast, but it is good as a snack, or even warm."

  • Mix all the ingredients except the cinnamon.
  • Place on a greased cookie sheet.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon to taste before baking.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 40 minutes, stirring half way through.
  • Try not to over bake as the granola will get hard.
  • As soon as it is out of the oven, scrape the granola into a pile on the sheet to cool (this aids in cleanup later).
  • When almost completely cool (but not all the way cool), scrap off the sheet and store in an air tight container.
