Beets in Vinegar Sauce

• Ingredients: 5
• Serves: 4

ingredients

• 2 cups beets, cooked

• sauce

• 1 tablespoon butter
• 2 teaspoons flour
• 1⁄2 cup vinegar
• 1⁄3 cup sugar

directions

1. in saucepan cook flour and butter
2. stir until smooth
3. add slowly vinegar and sugar
4. stir until smooth
5. and thick
6. cook a few minutes then pour over beets
7. cover let stand few minutes before serving.

This came out very nice. The beets were both sweet and sour with a nice glaze and went very well with some fried chicken and sweet potatoes for dinner. I used a jar of sliced beets. (2)
