ingredients

• 3⁄4 cup sour cream
• 1⁄2 cup honey
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 1⁄2 cups whole wheat flour
• 1 cup pecans, finely chopped toasted
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt

directions

1. Heat oven to 350°F.
2. In large bowl, combine sour cream, honey, eggs and vanilla. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
3. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool on wire racks. Yields 3 dozen cookies.

[The old scone burner]

Made these tonight with little success. The mixture needed extra flour in order to place on the tray and when cooked we couldn't decide whether they were a too-soft cookie or a too-hard scone. Taste was O.K. but they will need to be slathered with butter to enjoy with a cuppa.
