  1. I am only rating the sauce as it was served over plain hamburger patties, and also with roast beef. I loved the flavors in the sauce, it accented the beef nicely. Served over ground beef patties (sans rice) one night, then a few nights later the remainder was used as a sauce over slices of roast beef.

  2. Great recipe Jewelies. I made double and the family loved them I served them with mashed potatoes and mashed pumpkin. I have some left over sauce and thought I could use it over some pasta tomorrow, I have no meatbalss left they were gone in a flash, DS and DH went back for seconds!! I to am going to try dropping them in the sauce next time, and popping them into the oven. A great easy recipe Jewelies loved by all here. Thank You.

  3. These were great...Just loved the sauce!! I cut back on the butter slightly, adding just enough to put a sheen on the sauce. Served with mashed spuds and steamed veg...YUM! I will make these again!! Next I'm going to try dropping the meatballs (smaller & with uncooked rice and a egg) into the pureed sauce and bake in the oven. (similar way to porcupine meatballs)

  4. What a great idea! I added a little tomato paste to the patties, too, and some fresh finely chopped herbs, but otherwise followed the recipe and these were great. Dh is asking when I'll make them again... Thanks, Jewelies.
