Beef Pasta Sauce For The Freezer

ingredients
- 3 1⁄2 lbs lean ground beef
- 2 cups minced onions
- 1 1⁄2 cups thinly sliced celery
- 1⁄2 cup green pepper, chopped
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 3 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes (do not drain)
- 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
- 1 (6 ounce) can water
- 1⁄4 cup fresh parsley, minced (or 1 T dried)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 2 teaspoons basil
- 2 teaspoons italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon pepper
directions
- In large pot cook beef, onions, celery, green pepper and garlic, until beef is cooked through.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cool, put in freezer containers (I use quart jars with screw top lids).
- Can be frozen for 4 months.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!!
I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch.
We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
