BBQ Meatballs

"Homemade BBQ meatballs that can't be beat!"

• Serves: 8

ingredients

• Meatballs

• 2 lbs ground beef
• 2 eggs
• 2 cups quick oats
• 1 cup minced onion
• 1 teaspoon black pepper

• Sauce

• 3 cups ketchup
• 2 cups brown sugar
• 3 tablespoons liquid smoke
• 1 teaspoon salt

directions

1. For the meatballs:.
2. Mix all ingredients and make walnut-sized meatballs. Place in a 9"x13" baking dish.
3. For the sauce:.
4. Mix all ingredients together over low heat and pour over meatballs. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. Serve over mashed potatoes.

Just had this for dinner. It turned out really well! Super easy to make, and had all the ingredients on hand (always a plus). My husband wasn't as enthustiastic as I was- he liked it, but didn't love it, hence the 4 stars. He thought it tasted like meatloaf, and I guess I can see where he got that. Just happens....I love meatloaf. ;-)
