Bananas Foster Milkshake

ingredients
- 1 banana, overly ripe, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1⁄4 cup caramel sauce, plus more for garnish
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon dark rum
- 1⁄3 cup whole milk
- 10 ounces vanilla ice cream
- whipped cream, for garnish
- banana, slices for garnish
directions
- In a blender, combine the banana, caramel sauce, cinnamon, rum, and milk and blend until smooth.
- Add the ice cream and blend until incorporated.
- Pour into a tall glass, and garnish with a dollop of whipped cream, a few slices of banana and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
- Serve immediately!

I'm pretty picky about banana stuff, but this was fabulous! Definitely a special-occasion-only calorie bomb, but soooo worth it. Loved the caramel and cinnamon with the banana, so good! Thanks for posting! Made by a fellow Hot Pink Panther for ZWT9 -

"Alligirl, this was terrific. So much flavor, wow. I really enjoyed the combination of cinnamon and caramel, so yummy. The flavor from the frozen banana shines thru beautifully. It was perfectly balanced sweet and refreshing, with a hint of rum. This made a lovely lunch and really helped to cool me down. Thanks for sharing this lovely treat that I will make again. My parents owned a grocery store when I was growing up, so there's my love of FOOD! My friends all love to drink, so there's my profession! I stopped bartending 5 years ago, when my son was born, but still 'do' private parties. DH and I did a 'Supper Club' for a while, but life kept getting in the way!
I am a SAHM, to a rambunctious 5 y.o....I LOVE cooking and collect cookbooks and anything kitchen related! I'm kinda picky, but will just drop an ingredient or make a sub, so I can still try a recipe.
I'm looking forward to many years of enjoyment here, and hope to participate in some events soon!
