ingredients
- 2⁄3 cup sugar
- 1⁄3 cup shortening
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup ripe banana, mashed
- 1 3⁄4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
directions
- Cream sugar and shortening together.
- Add eggs then bananas.
- Add dry ingredients.
- Bake in a loaf pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

What a nice little banana bread recipe. Quick to put together! I baked it for the full hour, but it came out a little dry, so I would suggest testing doneness about 45 minutes. Lovely color to this bread!

A sweet lady at work gave me this recipe. It is exactly the same except hers included 1 1/2 cups of milk. They just came out of the oven, I'm hoping it's just as amazing as when she made hers. I swear hers tasted like custard, it was so moist!
