Baked Potato Soup

"I Got this recipe from my wife's mother. I had heard how good it was I just needed to try it and it was good it was a little thick like a chowder next time I'm going to thin it down some a little less flour or more milk hope you enjoy! I also used real bacon crumbs out of the package."

  • Melt butter stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add the milk stirring constantly till thick.
  • Add the potatoes after they have been peeled and cubed. Chop and add the green onions. Cook about ten minutes, then reduce heat and simmer ten minutes.
  • Add bacon and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.
  • Add sour cream, salt, and pepper and then serve.
