  1. I love making these. one thing to note: if you don't want all the cheese to melt out and make them soft and limp freeze the cheese coat it while its still frozen and bake before they thaw...

  2. Oh wow, these were an absolute hit at my house last night! I used low fat string cheese, 1/2 breadcrumbs and 1/2 panko. I DID double dip the sticks as instructed in step 6. I felt that was a vital step as not much of the crumb mixture stuck the first time I dipped them. I sprayed with olive oil instead of drizzling with butter and these were SUPERB! Kids wanted me to make more after they devoured the first one. Thanks so much for sharing! Low fat, healthy and delish! I will be making these quite often.

  3. I didn't have any italian seasoning so just used garlic powder and basil. I baked them for 10 minutes and they had all run together so I'd suggest you keep an eye on them... they still tasted great though!

  4. Too much Italian seasoning should cut down by half, needs salt. I had to broil them to turn them golden brown.

  5. i was just about to post this recipe till i did a search to make sure it wasnt already here. i made these tonight cause i found the recipe in my new cookbook. i would only change one thing, well maybe two. my italian seasoning had red pepper flakes and it made it a little too spicey for me so i will make my own seasoning next time. also i did not drizzle them with butter and they were good. lakerdog2, in step 6, repeat this process just meant repeat with the rest of the cheese. but if it worked for you, yay!! oh and maybe ill try spraying them with olive oil next time, sounds yummy that way.
