ingredients
- 7 tablespoons aleppo pepper
- 1⁄4 cup dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons fennel seeds (crushed or ground)
- 2 tablespoons dried orange zest
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon dried mint
directions
- Combine all ingredients.
- This will keep up to 6 months in a sealed jar in a cool dark place.

We were down the hill the other day (as it out of the desert, & much closer to real civilization!), & I was made my way SLOWLY through my first Middle Eastern market, & now that I know it's there, I'll be back from time to time! Anyway, one of the things I picked up was a small container of aleppo pepper, so making this recipe was wonderful! That pepper, used alone, is great on baked potatoes, & who knows what else! Anyway, this seasoning recipe went together in less time then I've taken writing this review, & I look forward to enjoying it immensely!
