- 8 1⁄2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 3 tablespoons buttermilk
- 1 beaten egg
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons yogurt
- 3 tablespoons crushed pistachio nuts
- honey, for glaze
directions
- pre-heat oven to 350f.
- In a mixing bowl add flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt and cardamom and mix well.
- Add buttermilk, egg, vanilla, yogurt and mix well. Fold in pistachio's.
- Place 5 liners into a muffin pan and fill 3/4 full with batter. Bake 15-20 mins until lightly browned and toothpick comes out clean.
- Brush tops with honey.
