CRUST INGREDIENTS
- 1 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1⁄2 cup white sugar
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter

FILLING INGREDIENTS
- 8 cups apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced (Golden Delicious, Northern Spy, or Cortland)
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1⁄2 cup white sugar
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄3 teaspoon nutmeg

CREAM CHEESE INGREDIENTS
- 1 (300 ml) can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (225 g) package cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice

- CRUST:.
- Pulse all ingredients together except butter in food processor. Add butter and pulse until mixture resembles coarse meal. Reserve 1 1/2 cups for topping. Press remaining filling into parchment lined 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake in preheated 350F oven for 10 minutes.

FILLING:
- Toss apples with lemon juice. Combine with remaining apple layer ingredients in large saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium low and cook until apples are tender (about 5 minutes). Cool completely.
- CREAM CHEESE LAYER: Beat all ingredients together with electric mixer or food processor until smooth.

ASSSEMBLE AND BAKE:
- Pour cream cheese layer over pre-baked crust. Top with apples. Sprinkle reserved crust ingredients over apples and bake for 40 minutes or until set. Cool. Cut into squares.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
