This was a really yummy use of the whole wheat bread that I had made last week. I used granny smith apples and they gave it a great flavor. Letting the mixture sit overnight really let the liquid absorb into the bread cubes since they were dense and was worth the extra wait. The pudding itself isn't overly sweet, so I made my own cinnamon topping that was similar to what you would put on a cinnamon roll (butter, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and powdered sugar) instead of the corn syrup mixture to give it a sweet dessert flavor. I will definitely make this again!Reply
