6 dozen
ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup butter, unsalted
- 1 cup cooking oil
- 2 eggs
- 4 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Combine first 4 ingredients. Beat well.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Drop small balls of dough on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Flatten slightly at edges.
- Dough can be chilled before baking.
- Also can be stored in tightly sealed bowl for several days. It can also be frozen. Just make what you need and save the rest for later. I save it for quite a while sometimes and you just can't tell. I don't have the time for the cookies to bake, but it doesn't take long and when they start to turn golden around the edges they are ready.
