  • Preheat oven to 350°C.
  • Mix butter, eggs, sugar & vanilla.
  • Mix together flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder in a separate bowl.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and almonds.
  • Drop golf ball sized dough onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 10 -12 minutes until just edges are light brown.
  • They may not look done, but the hot sugar will bake them more as they cool.

  1. This is a nice change from a regular chocolate chip cookie. They are moist and delicious...a new family favourite!
     
  2. This is a nice twist on a regular choc. chip cookie. My chips turned out to be old so for me they tasted a little odd but that is not the fault of the recipe and the cookie part alone tasted just fine. We really like almonds so this was a hit with my DH - he thought the choc was fine. I liked that the cookie kept its shape and didn't flatten out to much. The 10 minutes was just right to keep these a little soft. I decreased the recipe to 1/3 - it should have made 30 -33 but I barely got 21 with my little scoop. I'll be trying this again with fresh choc. chips! Made for PAC Fall 09
