- 1 cup flour
- 1⁄2 cup cocoa powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon coarse salt
- 200 g chocolate chips (seperate them into 2, 100 grams)
- 110 g butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
directions
- Preheat oven to 180°C Line baking trays with baking paper.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
- Melt 100 grams of dark chocolate with butter in a small heat proof bowl set on top of a pan of simmering water. Cool slightly.
- Gradually fold in flour mixture in 2 batches.
- Fold in chocolate bits. You can add in crushed walnuts as well.
- Spoon tsp of cookie dough on to trays abt 2 inches apart. Bake for 15 minutes. Cookies will be slightly soft.
